Sonesta Medical has a solid reputation for quality, which places high demands on its suppliers. The chairs must be as functional, comfortable, easy to maintain, and durable as possible for medical use—while Sonesta is also committed to producing the chairs as sustainably as possible.

“Tekonf manufactures cushions for our urology and gynaecology chairs, Sonesta S2 and Sonesta S3,” explains Hanna, Sonesta’s Sales and Marketing Manager, and continues, “They also produce footrests for our Sonesta 6210 table.”

Quality Focus

Sonesta has collaborated with TEKONF for five years, as Tekonf specialises in technical apparel production. Through Tekonf’s partner, Samhall in Svenstavik—the company that assembles the chairs—a connection was made.

“We were not completely satisfied with the quality of the cushions from previous manufacturers and started looking for alternatives. Through Samhall, we connected with Tekonf, who met our expectations, and the collaboration began,” says Hanna.

“The collaboration has worked well, though sometimes it’s apparent that they can struggle to meet increased demand because they’re very busy,” Hanna continues. “But they are always reachable and available, and they have a positive attitude towards developing new products and collaborations.”
