Tekonf Achieves Certification in Quality and Environment

Throughout the autumn and early winter, Tekonf has worked diligently to meet the certification requirements for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, two international standards designed to enhance organisational efficiency and sustainability.

ISO 9001 is a quality management standard that focuses on setting clear objectives and responsibilities, implementing systematic processes, and continuously monitoring and improving performance to ensure high-quality deliveries. In contrast, ISO 14001 is a standardised environmental management system aimed at helping organisations reduce their environmental impact. This includes identifying and managing environmental risks, reducing resource consumption, and improving energy efficiency. Both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are voluntary certifications.

Based in Frösön, Jämtland, Tekonf specialises in cutting, stamping, and assembling soft materials – a process known as technical confection. The company operates across four market segments: industry, healthcare, defence, and retail products. After a strong 2022, Tekonf continues to see high demand, particularly within the military sector. The company has approximately 30 employees and achieved a turnover of SEK 39 million in 2022, reflecting a 50% increase compared to the previous year.
