TEKONF to Deliver Police Bags to Major Swedish Authority
Christmas has arrived early for TEKONF in Östersund. In fierce competition with other suppliers, the Frösön-based company has won the procurement contract to supply bags to a major Swedish authority.
Earlier this spring, the authority announced a large procurement process for its new police bags. Four different types of bags were to be manufactured and delivered in series production. Many suppliers submitted bids, but the contract was awarded to TEKONF.
“It’s an incredible honour as a supplier to be trusted to help create the conditions for the authority to increase public safety and reduce crime,” says Göran Wärdell, CEO of TEKONF.
The contract, now signed, spans two years with the option to extend for an additional two years. This equates to a total volume of up to 72,000 bags to be delivered over the contract period. TEKONF is well-equipped to handle this size of order, with its facility in Frösön supported by production sites in Portugal and collaborations with multiple partners.
“It’s an amazing Christmas gift to increase our order volume and secure one of the largest orders in our history,” says Göran Wärdell.
The delivery to the authority will be carried out in collaboration with Fauna i Rättvik AB, a company TEKONF has previously worked with successfully.
