The partnership between Härjedalskök and Tekonf initially began with an entirely different need: demonstration cases.

“We first got in touch when we needed new demonstration cases for our sales team. I already knew Göran and Lars, so it felt natural to ask them,” says Stefan Zetterström at Härjedalskök. “The cases turned out great, and we started discussing other production opportunities.”

Härjedalskök specialises in upgrading kitchens by providing new doors and fronts for existing cabinets—a real facelift for kitchens, offered to private customers in both Sweden and Norway. The concept has been a success, and the company now employs around 100 people.

Since customers’ kitchen cabinets come from various manufacturers, their measurements naturally differ. As a result, each kitchen must be individually measured. When Tekonf produces drawer mats for Härjedalskök, every mat is precisely tailored to fit the unique specifications of the end customer’s kitchen.

“For us, Tekonf’s production has simplified the process since they cut and pack each customer’s set of mats separately,” Stefan explains. “This means we don’t have to sort the mats ourselves, and our customers receive mats that fit perfectly in each drawer.”

A Seamless Workflow

The production flow follows a well-established routine: orders are placed by sales representatives on Tuesdays, the mats are produced and packed on Wednesdays, and delivered on Thursdays.

“Our collaboration has worked incredibly well over the years—deliveries are exceptionally quick, and there hasn’t been a single error,” Stefan says. “Delivery reliability is, of course, a very important factor for us. The partnership started as a test and was an instant success.”
